The National Seabird Championship will be conducted by the National Seabird Class Association under the burgees of the Royal Bombay Yacht Club and the Bombay Sailing Association in Bombay Harbour off the Gateway Of India on Sat, 12th& Sun 13th April, 2008 The Championship will be designated 'Category A'.
The Championship will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008, the Rules of the National Seabird Class Association, by the Notice of the Race and the Sailing Instructions to be issued at the time of Registration.
The races will he held in the Bombay Harbour Seabird Class of Boats with an amateur crew of 3 persons, all of whom should be members of YAI affiliated Clubs and are to provide their own boats. (Tindals will not be allowed). Those requiring to charter Club Seabirds (which will be available on a draw basis as per circular attached) must fill up the standard Boat Requisition form attached.
Entries on enclosed form are to reach the Hon. Sailing Secretary, National Seabird Championship, C/o Royal Bombay Yacht Club, Bombay 400 001 latest by 7.00 p.m. on Monday 7th April. Entry fee of RS 300/- is to be remitted by cheque along with entry form by Mon 9th April 7.00 pm.
Cheques are to be drawn in favour of "NATIONAL SEABIRD CLASS ASSOCIATION".
By Friday 11th April, 1900 hrs at RBYC. Sailing Instructions will be available at time of Registration. Late Fee of Rs 350/- will be levied on Entries recd. after Tuesday 8th April, 1900 hrs.

The Bonus Point scoring system will be used. A minimum of 5 races will constitute the series. With 6 or 7 races, one discard will be permitted.
The winner of the Series (line honours) will be awarded the GODREJ TROPHY. There will be a runners up prize. 1st and 2nd in line honours will not be eligible for Handicap prize. Prizes will also be awarded to the helm and crew of the yachts securing first and second position on Handicap.
Boats participating may be inspected by the Officials nominated by the Seabird Class Association to ensure that Class Rules are not transgressed. (Class rules are available with Mr Rajan).
